Terms of use

These terms apply to the Climbing Taghia Topo app and website (“the app”), run by Mohamed Mesaoudi, Taghia, Zaouiat Ahansal, Morocco (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you accept them.

1. What the app is

The app is a climbing guidebook and community: crags and routes (topos), weather for climbing places, verified mountain guides and accommodation, posts, events, comments, reviews and private messages. It is made only for climbing and climbers.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Give true information, use your own name and keep your password secret. One account per person.
• For your security an account works on one phone at a time.
• You can change your name, photo, email and password in Profile → Edit profile, and delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete my account.

3. Climbing only

Photos, posts, comments and routes must be about climbing (routes, crags, trips, conditions, gear, partners, climbing events). Content that is not about climbing is removed, and the account may be closed permanently.

4. What you share

• You are responsible for the routes, photos, posts, events, comments, reviews and messages you share. Only share content you made or have the right to share, and photos of people only with their agreement.
• You keep your rights. You allow us to show, store and adapt your content (for example resize photos) to run the app and our website, also after you leave for routes you added (they stay in the topo without your name).
• Every route is checked by our team before it is published. We can correct, refuse or remove routes and other content.

5. Not allowed

Harassment, threats, hate, nudity or sexual content, violence, illegal content, spam, advertising, fake accounts, false or copied routes, sharing other people's personal data, and any attempt to damage or misuse the app. We can remove content, limit or close accounts that break these rules, usually within 24 hours of a report.

6. Reports, blocking and route suggestions

You can report posts, comments and users, block users, and suggest an edit or report a problem on a route. Route suggestions are sent with your name and reason to the person who added the route and to our team. Please use these tools honestly.

7. Guides and accommodation

• Guides and accommodation owners can ask to be verified. They send a photo of their licence and ID card, which only our team sees.
• The verified badge means we checked these documents when we verified the account. It is not a guarantee of service, safety or price.
• Guides and hosts are independent. Any booking, agreement or payment is between you and them, outside the app. They must hold the licences and insurance their activity needs and give correct information.

8. Points and free night

• Each route you add that our team publishes gives you 1 point. 20 points give you 1 free night in Taghia with dinner and breakfast, offered by Climbing Taghia.
• In My points, tap Use my points to get a personal security key. Book your date with us in advance and show the key when you arrive in Taghia. After your night we accept the key and your points start again from 0. The night depends on availability, has no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
• Copied, fake or incomplete routes do not count. If a route is later found to be copied or false, we can remove its point.
• We can change or end the points programme with notice in the app. Nights already earned remain valid for 12 months.

9. Activated accounts

Some content (for example some routes and the 7-day weather) is available to activated accounts. Activation is managed by our team. No payment is made in the app.

10. Climbing is dangerous

Climbing and mountaineering can lead to serious injury or death. Topos, grades, GPS points, descents, photos and weather forecasts are shared by the community or by other services and may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Always check the rock, the gear and the conditions yourself, use proper equipment and training or a qualified guide, and climb at your own risk.

11. Our responsibility

We provide the app “as it is” and try to keep it available and correct, but we cannot promise it will always work or be free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for accidents, injuries, losses or disputes linked to climbing, to information in the app, or to guides, hosts and other users.

12. Ending

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

13. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version and important changes are announced in the app. These terms are governed by the law of Morocco, without removing any rights you have under the law of your country.
